Catarina Bill
Always living for the mission, Catarina wears various hats for Southern Smoke Foundation, using years of nonprofit experience to push our work forward.
Catarina started her nonprofit career in 2004 at the Greater Houston American Red Cross, continuing to work for various nonprofits and non-governmental organizations until 2011. Later, she served as director of development for Dress for Success Houston.
Joining Southern Smoke in February 2020, Catarina immediately contributed to the Foundation’s essential work in helping food and beverage workers nationwide in crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As director of programs and philanthropy, she oversees the Foundation’s development as a nonprofit by shaping and maintaining relationships with donors and foundations. She also is spearheading the nationwide expansion of Behind You, the organization’s program that provides no-cost mental health counseling to food and beverage workers and their children.
